Politics of court nominations

Vikram Amar, associate dean and professor at UC Davis School of Law, has commented for NPR and The New York Times on court issues. A former law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Harry A. Gender and racial diversity

Kevin R. Johnson, dean of the UC Davis School of Law, is an expert on gender and racial diversity on the bench. A specialist in immigration and civil rights law, he was a member of the Obama campaign's Immigration Policy Group during the 2008 election, where he assisted in formulating immigration law and policy positions for the campaign. Alan Brownstein, professor of law, is a nationally recognized constitutional law scholar. One of his primary areas of expertise is the First Amendment. History of the Supreme Court
